Re: How to inflate a tire
I have done this a few times. Comes in handy when you don't have a tire machine at hand.

Re: How to inflate a tire
I've done it quite a few times it's a good way to seat the bead on big tires if you don't have one of those inflatable belts like a tire shop uses.
I use starter fluid (either).....no matter how many times you do it , it's still scary. Out here on the ranch you gotta do what you gotta do, ain't nobody gonna make a service call out here for less than a C note and that's just for the drive. |
Re: How to inflate a tire
Working with heavy equitment in my youth it was common practice to throw a cup of gasoline in any rubber tire that broke it's bead.
Loaders , backhoes and dump trucks any rubber tire machine throw a match poof instant fix Havn't seen it done in a while :s1: |
Re: How to inflate a tire

Just that it does work I have never seen anything go wrong but when you flick a match I mean flick it from 5' away, or more and still it's a breath holder I would never do it the way the guy did it in the vidio my face right in front of it and lighting the can spray , that by itself does not seem to Bright I still do this with my lawn mower tire & liquid lighter fuel But I do not recomend any one do it . just sayin |
